Origin of Pathaan and J.O.C.R
The origin of both Pathaan and J.O.C.R. are connected to each other. As Pathaan explained to Rubina, he went through great physical stress due to an incident in Afghanistan in 2002 and became physically challenged for service. He was assigned to that country and worked with the US armed forces to destroy the ruthless Saladin Hussein. The Taliban leader has been on the radar for a long time.
Information about his location was inaccurate. Confusion between the two men led to a rocket being fired at the house of Saladin, who heads a madrasah (a traditional school where students learn Islamic teachings).
This intimation came to the forces too late. But despite this, Pathaan tried his best to save the lives of the thirty students in the school. He was late and couldn't do anything about it. The rocket hit the madrassa and Pathaan was seriously injured in the ensuing blast. He remained in a coma for more than a year, and was taken care of by the locals of the village. They prayed day and night to bring him back to his senses and finally one day he woke up.
As a child, Pathaan was abandoned by his parents in a cinema hall. He had no identity of his own and went from orphanages to children's centers all his life. However, local residents adopted him as their own child. The village was inhabited by the Pathaan community and thus it got its name.
Almost two years ago today, Pathaan had another incredibly damaging mission in Myanmar. He also returned from this and joined J.O.C.R., a secret team of retired agents who suffered from some physical disabilities. continued to create. That's when Pathaan asked Nandini to take over the team and make kintsugi the team's gold.
Why did Jim create Outfit X and what was his purpose?
Jim was an elite RAW agent. When it came to rescue operations and acting on intelligence gathered to destroy the enemy, there was no one better. Somali terrorists have taken hostage Indian citizens working on an oil rig owned by the state-owned drilling company ONGC. Jim single-handedly managed to rescue all six hostages and get them to safety. But the Somalis took revenge on him and kidnapped Jim and his pregnant wife.
They demanded ransom from the Indian government. However, the government decided not to negotiate with the terrorists. As a result, Jim saw Somalis kill his pregnant wife with semi-automatic weapons and could do nothing about it. This event ossified his humanity and rationality. The government assumed he was dead and awarded him the Vir Puraskar, the highest military honor for a soldier. That's why he created Outfit X, a neutral corporate terrorist group for the country that works on contracts regardless of religion, ethnicity or other biases. Money is his only language.
The President of India and two prominent scientists were speaking at the Asian Science Conference. The President is scheduled to deliver a keynote speech at the conference. J.O.C.R. Outfit X was tipped off that it was planning to attack the convoy and target the President of India.
To deny this, the Indian agency rerouted the convoy and diverted them from danger. But later that day, Pathaan and the team learned that the information was given deliberately to change the route. Outfit X's targets were not the president, but two scientists. Jim single-handedly missed two but Pathaan managed to save one.
Sahani was kidnapped to transform the smallpox virus into something more explosive and deadly with no cure. The virus itself was codenamed "Rakt Beej" (translated as "blood seed" in English) on the darknet where JOCRs received information.
How do Pathaan and Rubina get Rakt Beej back and why does he betray her?
After dealing with Jim and his thugs in Spain, Rubina and Pathaan head to Moscow to steal this package that Jim is targeting. Their task is almost impossible. The Bee is kept in Vault 412 in the Woskwich Tower on the 92nd floor.
It is the most secure warehouse in the whole world. It doesn't have its own lock either. The lock and key are placed on both sides of the chair with diametrically opposite persons. While Gregor has the lock, Karen has the key. But Pathaan and Rubina hatch a plan to make it happen.
On the day of the operation, Rubina steals Karen's avatar and Pathaan steals Grigor's ID card. After stealing the relevant items, they will have only 10 minutes until the system triggers the lockout protocol. They use two different charters that pick them up from their respective towers and drop them off at Woskwich Tower. It's almost unfortunate, but they manage to do it.
Everything goes smoothly and Pathaan gets the formula back. It's when she uses a fire hose to climb up from the warehouse that she lands a powerful blow on Rubin. He hoses down the torches and leaves it to take over.
This was because Rubina trusted Jim over Pathaan. Jim told him that for the ISI to work with the formula, Pathaan was needed to complete the mission. He played with the plan and wanted the formula back to his country.
How does Pathaan prevent Jim and Rakt Beej from reaching India?
Pathaan was thrown into Black jail by the Russian authorities. He was ordered to be killed by them. But while doing so on the train, another Indian operative, Tiger (played by Salman Khan), comes to his aid and the two manage to take them down. Nandini goes out to meet Pathaan and tells him that Rubina is seen in Paris nowadays.
Jim bought two rockets, but for what reason, no one knows. The Russians are tense about rakt beej and Pathaan has to fly to Paris to meet Rubina. As they discover, Rakt Beej is actually smallpox. Sahani was kidnapped to mutate the virus and use it on target cities.
Jim is paid by Pakistani Army General Qadir to create a mutated virus and release it into an Indian city in retaliation for India. Rubina now helps Pathaan and regrets her action as she discovers that Qadir is involved with ISI extremists and is planning to destroy India.
In Sahani's lab, Jim makes the final delivery and leads Rbina Pathaan and the others to the scene. In the protracted battle, Jim loses one of the orbs containing the bee and escapes with the other.
Despite Pathan's protests, Rubina is arrested and sent to the lab to develop a vaccine against her. Jim planned to infect anyone who tries to open the orb, and everyone in this closed facility is infected. Nandini is in the crowd and bravely decides to shoot herself along with the others so that the outbreak can be contained.
Pathaan eventually hatches a new plan and frees Rubina. On the opening day, Qadir refuses to pay Jim when he sees a new cloth from the local village in Afghanistan where they contracted smallpox.
How does Pathaan end?
During the investigation, it is revealed that a hologram was used and the villagers are actually Pathaa's family who brought him back from the dead in 2002. Pathaan and Rubina fight Jim again at the facility. He releases the rocket and boards the jetpack alone. Pathaan follows Jim as Rubina stops the rocket. But he discovers that it was only a ruse. Jim planted the bomb on a plane about to land in Delhi.
This message is delivered to the pilot who is barred from landing. The smoke from the plane clears and Pathan has only a few minutes to fight Jim and get his hands on the device that will defuse the bomb. He fights Jim and manages to kill him and secure the bomb. The film ends with Pathaan becoming the new leader of JOCR and starting a relationship with Rubina.
